Why oil-based perfume

Our perfumes are blended in organic golden jojoba oil, which is very similar to your skin's own natural oils. The scent sits softly on your skin rather than leaving a heavy trail, and it changes gently as you wear it. There's no alcohol to dry your skin out, and no synthetic fragrance.

Because they're made only with essential oils, without the synthetic fixatives that help conventional perfumes last, they're softer and shorter-lived than an alcohol-based perfume. That's part of the ritual. Keep one in your bag and roll it on whenever you'd like a moment to pause and reset.

Scent and how you feel

Smell is the only sense with a direct line to the limbic system, the part of the brain linked to emotion, mood and memory. That's why a scent can shift how you feel, and why each blend in this collection is made with a different mood in mind.

Aroha Glow

A warm, radiant blend with a bright, uplifting feel. It opens with gentle citrus from sweet orange, bergamot and lime. At its heart, neroli and ylang ylang bring a floral warmth, balanced by creamy sandalwood and amyris, while benzoin adds a soft, comforting sweetness, like warm skin at golden hour. It's a tropical beach holiday in a bottle.

Brise Lift

A fresh, bright blend to wake up your senses. Bergamot and lemon open it with a crisp, sparkling brightness, juniper berry adds a cool, airy sharpness, and rosemary and eucalyptus bring a clean herbal freshness. As it settles, amyris and frankincense give it a soft, woody base. Fresh, crisp, green and uplifting.

Serein Calm

A soft, soothing blend for winding down at the end of the day. Lavender and chamomile open it, gentle and familiar. Geranium and palmarosa add a rosy warmth, frankincense brings a subtle resinous depth, and vetiver settles it into something earthy and reassuring. Soft, herbal, gently floral and grounded.

Umber Ground

A deep, grounding blend with a feeling of warmth and steadiness. Sweet orange opens it softly, warming rather than bright, and pink pepper adds a gentle spice. At its heart, creamy sandalwood and dry cedarwood are deepened with frankincense, and as it settles, vetiver and patchouli come through. They're the deepest notes in the blend and the ones that linger longest on your skin. Warm, woody, earthy and deep.

Roll onto your pulse points, such as your inner wrists, the base of your neck or behind your ears, and let the warmth of your skin bring the scent out.

As a natural oil perfume, it's softer and fades sooner than an alcohol-based perfume, so reapply whenever you'd like the scent back, or whenever you want a moment to reset during the day.

Suitable for most skin types. If synthetic perfumes tend to irritate your skin, these may suit you better, but they're concentrated blends of essential oils and do contain naturally occurring fragrance allergens, so please patch test first.

Serein Calm contains chamomile, which belongs to the daisy family, so take extra care if you have a known allergy to that plant family.

The bottle

Each perfume oil comes in an amber glass roller bottle with a bamboo lid, which has a small plastic insert inside. Once it's empty, the glass can be recycled at home in most areas.

Made in small batches

We make everything in small batches and use organic ingredients wherever an organic version is available to buy. Anything left over at the end of a batch is potted into little testers, which sometimes find their way into orders as a free sample.

How your order arrives

Online orders are packed in a cardboard box, stamped by hand with our own ink stamp, with shredded card to keep everything safe (we chose it over cheaper plastic fillers) and a layer of tissue paper.
