Facial Toner

Our Facial Toner is mostly Bulgarian rose water, with aloe vera leaf juice and a touch of frankincense and rose geranium. It's a gentle mist that refreshes and hydrates after cleansing, leaving your skin comfortable and slightly damp, which is exactly how you want it before your balm goes on.

There's no alcohol or anything astringent in it, so it won't leave your skin feeling tight. It's all about hydration and comfort.

You'll also find it in both sizes of our Evening Ritual Set, alongside the Cleansing Oil, Intensive Night Balm and a lip balm.

Morning: After cleansing, mist over your face and neck, or sweep it on with one of our bamboo face pads. While your skin is still slightly damp, follow with Barrier Repair Balm.

Evening: After the Cleansing Oil, mist over your face and neck, then follow with Intensive Night Balm.

In warmer weather, keep it in the fridge for a cooling spritz whenever you need one.

Rose water makes up most of the formula, with aloe vera leaf juice and glycerin to hydrate, and frankincense and rose geranium for a soft floral scent. Because rose water and aloe are water based, the toner needs a preservative to keep it safe to use. We use a mild system of gluconolactone, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate.

*Naturally occurring in the essential oils.

Gentle enough for most skin types, including dry and sensitive skin. It contains only a small amount of essential oil, but if you know your skin reacts to them, we'd always recommend a patch test first.

The bottle

This comes in an amber glass bottle, which helps protect what's inside from light. Once it's empty, the glass can be recycled at home in most areas. Check your local council's guidance for the top.

Made in small batches

We make everything in small batches and use organic ingredients wherever an organic version is available to buy. Anything left over at the end of a batch is potted into little testers, which sometimes find their way into orders as a free sample.

How your order arrives

Online orders are packed in a cardboard box, stamped by hand with our own ink stamp, with shredded card to keep everything safe (we chose it over cheaper plastic fillers) and a layer of tissue paper.
